Right, as anyone whose read this knows, I’m from a pretty large town in the north west of England called Blackpool. I’ve spent 90% of my life here other than a couple years in Canterbury at university (some 350 miles from home) and some time spent in the Manchester Childrens Hospital – Pendlebury Hospital when I was 7.
Anyway, although I may slag it off and rip the place to piece I don’t actually hate blackpool, don’t get me wrong I in no way love the place, far from it, but hate is too strong a word… I hate Birmingham, I’ll tell you that straight out, I hate vegetables, but Blackpool isn’t something I hate, the football team yea, but its understandable when your a fan of a rival side.
But to continue, I don’t hate the place… I have so many memories of the place, of growing up and my family being around, of my first day in school, my first kiss, my first drink, my first (self caused) near death experience … there are so many things I will always remember about this place, its what makes it actually sad that when you think of how it was just 10 / 11 years ago when I was just starting in secondary school say, to how it is now, the place has fallen apart, people have moved on to bigger and better things and its never something nice, the memories are, the losses aren’t.
2 of my best friends both passed away when I was in school, and another shortly after … well by passed away I mean all killed themselves.
My best mates from high school all left and went to a different college then me and I never really stayed in touch with them.
The klan I gamed with seemed to just drift apart, but I got another one together with one of my best mates Jason, who although we don’t talk as much any more (both work all time and time off is scarce for us) we always used to make time to go round kicking peoples asses, then again, I do that one now when I get a chance with some guys on the Playstation Network, don’t play as much on PC’s (as I sold all mine, we only have 2 in the house now) and I can’t be arsed paying for xbox live when I have a perfectly good PS3 with totally free online play.
I remember, I went in to school one day when I was in year 10 I think and this fat twat was sat at the table in the dining hall I always sat at to eat my morning bacon sarnie and my rainbow cake. Well this lad thought he was awesome, that nobody was better then him blah blah blah like… he was thick as 2 short planks (thats a bit mean on the planks, sure he was thicker 2bh) and was as ugly as a really ugly person (i aint puttin names there coz people will get mad), but he was a total wanker … anyway, I remember walking into Collegiate that morning and him sittin there smelling worse than a French Hookers Armpit on the hottest day of the year sat in a tanning salon would do … and he decides to breathe on us all and say “I got pissed last night, was drinking whisky” everyone seemed amazed but I was more arsed bout my bacon, then when asked how much he had I remember so clearly him saying “2 double jack and cokes, and a shot of tequilla” by that time in my life I’d been drinking about half dozen double vodka and cokes, tequilla, aftershocks, wines … all sorts … but never liked whisky … I’m just amazed at how pathetic kids can be and how easy to influence they are.
I remember walking down Blackpool promenade on a gorgeous moon light night, and asking Leanne to marry me, I never got down on one knee … she stood at the railing just as the pathway starts to climb approaching north pier, and i wrapped my arms round her and whispered in her ear asking her and held out the ring and she said yes … it was one of happiest moments of my life, but then I went to uni and it all fell to pieces, we’re back together again now, but university was such a bastard for us … but we’re back together and are happy again.
Most of all I remember when it was summer holidays and my nan would take me and my sister Stacey into the town, we’d wander about the town centre looking in shops, finding little bargains and such, and she’d give me and my sister like 50p or a pound in 2p’s and we’d go to the arcades, namely what was formerly Mr B’s … now Mr T’s and spend them on the one arm bandits, whatever we won we could do what we liked with it, so namely…put it back in the machines… but once that pound was gone, that was it … unless we had any money of our own … it was the earliest addition to gambling I know of in my family, and my family has irish people in it … I was like 5 or somat… but I loved it and to this day remember how much fun I had going into town with my nan and my sis fuckin about in arcades and eating chips during the school holidays.
I miss my nan so much now that she’s gone, as I do all my friends I’ve lost … but thankfully I’ll always have blackpool to remember them by … I’ll always have those moments, those insane pranks, those stupid fights, those total wankers … I’ll always have the memories and I thank everyone whose ever been a part of my life for some of the greatest memories a person could ever want, I’ve been blessed with a great family, a great home, a great upbringing, great friends and great memories that’ll I’ll forever cherish no matter where I end up in the future.

RIP Nanna
Right I promised a couple new posts today to try make up for falling behind a bit so heres a couple…this is just a little ramble so don’t worry it doesnt count.
For some reason my stuff about games seems to be rather popular lol … I’ve had a couple hundred hits alone on one of them and frankly I was quite shocked at that so thank you very much, reviews / previews always do well … specially if its a big name game, but I wasn’t expecting that so thank you readers for reading it.
Anyway, I just got back from Blockbuster …. spent a massive 35 quid on 11 dvds … not bad if i do say so … am a little bit of a DVD nut, in one trip to HMV I came out with 4 bags full and a backpack full of DVDs from a sale … there was about 50 or so new ones … only cost me like 140 or sumat too … i love it wen theres real cheap dvd sales on and you can get em for like 2 or 3 quid, cause although occasionally I’ll download em, I always prefer owning the proper ones and will 95% of time buy the one I downloaded a couple weeks later anyway, its usually if its something I’ve seen a trailer for and am a bit .. hmmm duno whether to or not … over it then al download it and usually know within bout half hour
Only movie I downloaded and aint bought yet is Juno … cause anywhere I go its fukin sold out and I really liked that movie … it was different … it wasn’t anything like I was expecting, but it was totally great.
Anyway, enough, onto the proper schnizzle
Right … as you know I’m a website designer, website developer, programmer kinda person … I can do near as dammit anything to a website, get it to do whatever I desire, look however I want it to and without blowing my own horn too much more … I’m dam good at what I do … lol … but lately I’ve been a bit *bleurgh* bout it and for some reason i just really really can’t be arsed doing any work again, I’ll probably have to have a couple days goof off like to get my head straight, do some serious hardcore gaming again then I’ll be back on track.
I want my fukin ipod back too … fucker broke last week and i had to send it to apple to get fixed
Anyway, back to the websites rant, I can’t actually be arsed to sort the look of my blog out, I’ll keep it with this layout and look for now til I’m feeling a bit artsy then I’ll mek it look good.
We’ve got a few new sites here where I work … we’ve got a site for a packaging tape company, couple hotel sites and I got a fair few I keep needing to finish off … but can’t really be arsed finishing like lol… I’m currently working on an appliance repairs site, a lighting site, a motorcycle site, a cd site, a mobile fone site, a bathroom site, a mobility site and tonnes more … I’ve no problem doing them, I love doing them (well .. all except the flash ones … they drive me nuts and usually look quite poor 2bh no matter what you try to do to em). I wanna do something big … like a big site … I’d love one day to be building sites for companies like Sega, Rare etc… for new games … or for bands or that … It’s something I got offered a chance to do but I didn’t think I was good enough so I knocked it back to get more experience before I put myself in a place where I could end up falling apart and having nothing at all.
But o well … I never did it … i’m still working where I was and I’m happy there … people are great just want a higher calibre of cliental (sorry if that offends any of our clients … but they’re getting better … suppose its like a learning curve, start on cheaper places and grow to the bigger ones like)
Anyway, gotta go … lunch is over so best get back to work.

Right, Cause I’ve not written anything for quite a little while like, I’m gonna write a few posts today, update you on some games and movies I’ve had joy with, and then the one thats pissed me off immensely again…that one god damn game that everyone raves on and on about, yet for some reason, I really REALLY !!! can’t get into it … Gears of Fuckin War … I don’t know why, I love games like that … but gears doesn’t push my buttons, it doesnt make me wanna drop trousers and please myself like some other games do (not literally, just shows how little Gears did for me, as anyone who really knows me knows how easy I drop my pants and beat one off – not literally again)
Anyway, first proper thing first, can I just say that George Carlin you will be missed by many. You will always be remembered as a pure comic genius, your rants are legendary and your quotes are there sticking in everyones minds for weeks if not years on end. I first heard of George bout 10 years ago and immediately fell in love with his work as its all true and fact but in the funniest possible manner, I remember one time a little piece of his about flame throwers that was so true and fuckin hillarious to listen to

George, you’re gonna be missed by all, you were a genius and your legacy will live on with us all. RIP Mr Carlin – 1937 – 2008

On a cheerier note … well not really cheerier, but on another note … I’ve nearly finished work on a really cool companies website … WOOOOO !! just waiting for their approval, due to the fact that there is probably someone out there who’d be willing to sue me for giving out company names, i won’t I’ll just say, they sell scooters and stuff, and I built them a shop … it looks rather cool if I do say so myself, and its rather Italian themed, I just finished a clothes shop, an antiques website and accountancy website last week too, so I’m on a roll of late … makes a change really

Other than that, lifes still going on as life does … slow and painful at times with the odd intervention of alcohol to brighten the day.
Anyway, enough bout me… check out other posts for my personal opinions on movies I’ve recently watched and games I’ve been playing or reading alot about lately.

Right, so this is the first post of this new weblog I’ve just made… and well… its gonna be interesting to say the least to see how much I keep this up. Anyway, this first post is just gonna be alot of random rambling crap about me and stuff like that.
Well first of all I’m a web designer and developer in Blackpool, England… not exactly glamorous but its good enough to keep me going… o and can I just add; if anybody reads this and doesn’t like what I write or anything, then I’m not too arsed… its an online journal effort thing… its not private but I couldn’t really care less if you take offense to something I write.
I’m a HUGE!! lover of all things video game like… playing them, the making of them, the stories behind them… it’s something I’ve always been into and I’ve gone through pretty much every console going… lol… well… and I still own the majority of the majority… I love all sorts of games and well… I’d love to make them one day.
Right am gonna stop rambling now and am gonna get back to work… gotta get this site sorted by noon tonight so that we can get it signed off and get some moneys for it… So yea… enjoy the resta your day.
